Lubricant Storage, Handling and Dispensing

Lubricants are frequently contaminated in the lube room or wherever lubricants are stored well before they’re introduced to a lubrication system. The contamination is then amplified through improper dispensing and handling between the lube room and the point of application. Through ineffective identification, this can lead to operator errors that introduce the wrong lubricant to lubrication systems.

U.S. Lubricants brings together a wide range of components and systems that provide comprehensive “best practices” solutions in lubricant storage, dispensing, and handling. Coupled with robust lubrication practices, these solutions can help assure reliable lubricant handling and reduce, prevent, or eliminate contamination in storage or through dispensing and handling in the plant. Our modular, scalable and fully configurable systems allow us to handle practically any lubricant, (in both small and large plants) and help meet your budget and your lubrication systems’ cleanliness requirements.

Some solutions include:

  • Simple 55 gallon drum or 275 gallon tote dispensing systems (with or without pumps)
  • Dispensing tools and hoses, and simple or metered grease guns
  • Comprehensive color coded identification system
  • Extensive, but completely scalable and modular storage
  • Systems with various tank sizes (up to 240 gallons) and tank types (including stainless steel tanks)
  • Integrated low or high viscosity pumps for each tank to handle oils up to 7500 SUS @ 100°F (1600cSt @ 40°C or ISO 1400)
  • Built in desiccant breathers – with single or two stage fluid filtration for each tank to remove both water and particulate
  • Contamination and filtration media, to achieve any required lubrication system cleanliness
  • Integrated EPA compliant spill containment and available fire safety compliance options

Improving your lubricants storage and handling can deliver significant and measurable benefits:

  • Consolidating lubricant inventory and reducing space used in storage
  • Properly and consistently identifying lubricants in storage and across all handling and delivery points, saving time and reducing errors and contamination, assuring the right lubricants are added to the right points on the right machines
  • Reducing, preventing, or eliminating water or particulate contamination at the source and in handling throughout the plant
  • Improving environmental and OSHA compliance, improving safety, and reducing waste by eliminating spills

Contact one of our certified lubrication engineers to help you assess your situation, design, and implement the lubricants storage and handling solution that’ll meet your plant’s needs, as well as your lubrication system’s cleanliness requirements, and your budget. It's part of our customer promise of Assuring Machine Health™.
